Experience
Before pursuing a career in therapy I worked in full time ministry. I spent years serving children, teens, young adults, parents, and grandparents. Though my official roles were administrative, I often took on the opportunity to mentor teens and young adults.
During my graduate program I was an intern at the YWCA in Kalamazoo where I worked with the therapy team who served survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I also worked as an intern at the Battle Creek Veterans Administration Medical Center where I served many of our nations Veterans as they made end of life preparations and ensured they had the services necessary to maintain a high quality of living as they aged.
Through these experiences, along with my own personal life experience, I’ve been able to see the various ways life circumstances can impact every season of life.

Personal Statement

I am a firm believer that we are not meant to do life alone. It is my hope that I can be one of the people in your life who can offer you the support you need to succeed. Whether you’re facing a major life transition, grieving the loss of a life or a relationship, or navigating one of the many other life challenges we face as humans - my door is open to you.
Oftentimes these circumstances leave us feeling trapped in anxiety, depression, or both and there is no shame in that. As a clinician it is my number one job to create a space for you to confidently face the obstacles in front of you and then provide you with the tools to overcome them.
I know first hand how the unexpected can knock you off your feet and I also know how sometimes even planned life changes can be more difficult than you expected. It’s my honor to walk alongside you through whatever season you are in as you make your way toward health and wholeness.
